How it works
Online-only tutoring built around clear scheduling, prepaid lessons, and live sessions in a private online classroom.
Live sessions
Lessons are held online (video link provided after booking). You need a stable internet connection, a working camera and microphone, and a quiet space.
Scheduling
Intro and lesson times are booked through Calendly. How times are displayed in your timezone is explained on the contact / booking page and in the FAQ.
Materials
We may use shared screen, simple whiteboard tools, PDFs, and your school or project files — whatever matches the lesson goal.
Between-session communication
Email is the primary channel for scheduling and follow-ups (aki@tutortechdesign.com). Boundaries and response times are kept practical for a solo tutoring practice.
Payment
All lessons are prepaid. Before each scheduled lesson, payment is expected via PayPal, Stripe, or Zelle (you may use any of these). A prepaid block of ten lessons includes a 10% discount ($450 at the standard $50 per one-hour lesson). Details are on the pricing page.
Cancellations & no-shows
If you cancel with less than 24 hours before the scheduled start, the full lesson fee still applies (see FAQ for how “start time” is defined). No-shows are charged the full lesson fee. See Terms of service for the full policy.
Recordings
Sessions are not recorded by the tutor. Students must not record sessions (audio, video, or screen).
